WMDA is an association and is the only global certification body in the field of hematopoietic stem cell donation and international exchange. The certification body promotes the protection of the donor and an efficient process to facilitate transplants. The certification body is professionally organised where WMDA staff members collaborate with volunteers across the world. Because of the growth of our programme, a position is open to join our team.
Join our team as Certification and Quality Administrative Support. In this role, you will coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Certification Body, ensuring that our certification programme operates efficiently, smoothly and according to ISO standards. You will work with external stakeholders to ensure that the certification of our members meets their needs. You evaluate, analyse and prepare documents for release and compliance. In collaboration with another Certification and Quality Administrative Support team member, you will handle all the necessary tasks.

What you will do:
Certification process:
- Coordination of the day-to-day activities of the Certification Body
- Ensuring that all processes are executed in compliance with WMDA policies and procedures
- Oversee the allocation of resources
Education:
- Ensuring that all auditors are onboarded and have their annual training
- Supporting the (online) educational activities of WMDA either as a trainer, presenter or organiser
Information Technology:
- Developing business and quality assurance plans as well as implement the IT infrastructure for the certification body
- Organizing and streamlining processes. Together with the pillar coordinator, coordinates the certification body
- Update website when documents change.
Back up for colleague:
- Supporting the Team Leads in the management of Request for Information & certification reports
- Assisting with WMDA Committees’ work
- Communicating about our accreditation program to stakeholders
Your qualifications and skills:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other IT tools including Confluence and CRM software
Soft skills:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and effective interpersonal skills. Able to influence people, solve problems, troubleshoot, think creatively, and resolve conflicts
- Analytical & strategic thinking. initiative & innovation. Focus on customers’ (internal and external) needs. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Desirable:
- Experience with quality systems
- Experience in working with volunteers
- MBA or postgraduate degree in management
- Demonstrated experience in accreditation bodies or audits

Data Driven Developer
cancer? Help us find their stem cell donor match as a Data-driven C# developer! This role is
critical in saving lives.
The role
With your Scrum-based, data engineering- and C# development skills you are making the difference,
by building and maintaining software solutions that our worldwide membership uses to save lives.
Most of your focus will be on data engineering and development in the backend, working in our
small, not-for-profit organisation. As ETL, PostgreSQL and MSSQL hold no secrets for you, building
efficient APIs and managing data processing pipelines are the fun part of your role.
You have the Microsoft stack with Azure and Azure DevOps as a toolset and work with CI/CD.
You participate in building and maintaining complex applications with access to Microservices and
advise your colleagues with development in other software languages.

initiatives and we will give you a lot of freedom to do so.

- 5+ years of experience with designing, building and maintaining applications using C#/.NET
Core, preferably in an Azure cloud environment - 3+ years of experience with Data Engineering, ETL, Data Modelling, Data analytics,
PostgreSQL and/or MSSQL (experience with any other relational database would be a plus) - Experience with function apps, service bus development, API development and Microservices
- An open mind to technologies(we predominantly use C# and Angular but also some Python)
- SCRUM and SOLID experience, a love for architectural challenges and a preference for a testdriven approach
- Great command of the English language and preferably one or more other languages
- A European work permit and willingness to commute to Leiden in a hybrid work setting (1 – 2 days a week as needed)
