Vacancies Contribute to saving lives
Finance Manager
Finance Manager – the role
As the only individual in the finance department, you will not manage a team, but you will manage/take care of all financial- and HR activities. Not to worry, you are not alone in our small, yet strong, multicultural and welcoming team. With your love for data and digitalisation you analyse, generate information and build reports. Your work contributes to WMDA’s Vision and Mission to provide access to cellular therapies for patients while protecting donors’ rights and safety. Based on your information we are in control and run WMDA effectively and efficiently. And, as you cannot help yourself, you also develop, implement and maintain an operational vision, budget, and annual work plan in line with the Strategy. This is how you play your vital part in saving the lives of patients in need of a stem cell transplant.
We run a truly global membership organisation, making this role both critical and diverse. It breaks down into 3 segments:
- Accounting: complete bookkeeping (including a.o. journals, bank-statements, invoicing etc.), payments to suppliers, AR/AP, and maintaining the finance mailbox.
- Controlling: financial planning, (ad-hoc) analyses, balance specifications, budget and forecasts. Additionally, you supervise audits and act as our CFO.
- HR: HR administration, a correct payroll and HR support.
We trust you to make decisions that help our organisation move forward, to solve problems, to take initiatives and we will give you a lot of freedom to do so. Trust us to have an eye out for your personal growth, coaching needs and ambition.
Ready to help save lives?
Send an e-mail with your CV to HR@wmda.info if you can bring this to the table:
- Bachelor’s degree in business economics or similar
- 5+ years of relevant work experience (for example bookkeeping), of which several years in a financial control position
- Knowledge of generating management information with ERP, Exact Online, BI and Excel
- Excellent communication, advisory and negotiation skills in both Dutch and English
- Problem-solving attitude with a hands-on and a ‘can do’ mentality
- A European work permit and willingness to commute to Leiden in a hybrid setting (1 – 2 days a week as needed)
WMDA
Headquartered in Leiden we work on our goal: each patient, worldwide, has equal access to high quality cells for transplantation from stem cell donors whose rights and safety are protected. We facilitate doctors in matching stem cell donors with patients in need. https://wmda.info/about-us/what-we-do/
Less than 0,5% of the global population is on the worldwide database of registered voluntary blood stem cell donors. Global collaboration is key to improve this situation, so more patients can be saved regardless of who they are or where they live.
This vacancy is open to people with an EU-work permit only, living in the Netherlands. Please note that acquisition is not appreciated.
Data Driven Developer
The role
With your Scrum-based, C# development skills you are making the difference, by building and maintaining software solutions that our worldwide membership uses to save lives.
Most of your focus will be on development in the backend, working in our small, not-for-profit organisation. As PostgreSQL and MSSQL hold no secrets for you, building efficient APIs and manipulating datasets are the fun part of your role.
You have the Microsoft stack with Azure and Azure DevOps as a toolset and work with CI/CD.
You participate in building and maintaining complex applications with access to Microservices and advise your colleagues with development in other software languages.
We trust you to make decisions that help our organisation move forward, to solve problems, to take initiatives and we will give you a lot of freedom to do so.
Trust us to have an eye for your personal growth and ambition.
