Senior ICT Tester (QA)
WMDA is an association in the field of hematopoietic stem cell donation and international exchange. We promote donor protection and facilitate an efficient transplant process. Professionally organized, WMDA staff collaborate with volunteers worldwide. Due to our programme’s growth, we are seeking a Senior ICT Tester (QA)to join our team.
As a Senior ICT Tester (QA) you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of ICT systems, applications, and infrastructure. This role involves designing, executing, and automating test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and working closely with developers, product owner, business owners and stakeholders to improve software quality. The senior tester will also contribute to process improvements in the QA domain.

What you will do:
Testing Strategy and Execution:
- Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive testing strategies to ensure product functionality, performance, and security.
- Define and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts for functional, regression, performance and system testing.
Test Automation and Frameworks:
- Design and maintain automated testing frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI and/or Appium.
- Implement and integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality assurance.
Defect Management and Reporting:
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues, ensuring they are addressed in a timely manner.
- Use defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA to report and manage bugs.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with developers and product owners to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria.
- Participate in Agile Scrum rituals, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement and retrospectives, ensuring testing efforts align with development goals.
Performance and Security Testing:
- Conduct performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner to validate system scalability.
- Perform API testing using previously mentioned tools.
- Assist in security testing to ensure compliance with industry best practices.
Release Readiness and Quality Assurance:
- Participate in release planning to ensure all features meet quality standards before deployment.
- Conduct final validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-release monitoring.
Continuous Improvement and Best Practices:
- Stay updated with the latest QA methodologies, tools, and industry trends to improve testing processes.
Documentation and Training:
- Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test reports, and automation scripts.
- Provide guidance and training to team members and stakeholders on QA processes and tools.
Your Qualifications and Skills:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- ISTQB (Foundation/Advanced Level), CSTE, or equivalent QA certifications are preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with a solid understanding of Agile testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Postman, Cypress, Playwright, Appium).
- Strong knowledge of test management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA).
- Proficiency in API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
- Experience in performance testing using JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation.
- Understanding of networking, cloud environments (Azure), and security testing is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality assurance.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pillar Coordinator Ensuring Quality

Our mission is to protect stem cell donors and facilitate efficient, high-quality transplantation processes worldwide.
As our certification program continues to grow, we are looking for a healthcare professional to join our Certification & Quality Department. As a Pillar Coordinator Ensuring Quality, you will work alongside another team member to ensure the smooth, ISO-compliant operation of our certification program.
What you will do:
- Coordinate the day-to-day activities of our Certification Body
- Develop the training and education of auditors
- Coordinate in the implementation of IT improvements to enhance process efficiency
- Ensure compliance with ISO17065 standards in certification activities
- Coordinate communication between relevant stakeholders (e.g. WMDA members, WMDA committees)

Your qualifications and skills:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in preferable biomedical sciences or health
- Affinity with the operation of a donor registry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other IT tools including Confluence and CRM software
Soft skills:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and effective interpersonal skills. Able to influence people, solve problems, troubleshoot, think creatively, and resolve conflicts
- Analytical & strategic thinking. initiative & innovation. Focus on customers’ (internal and external) needs. Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Desirable:
- Experience with quality systems
- Experience in working with volunteers
- Demonstrated experience in certification bodies, consultancy or audits
